Final Landscaping Results, Reminders, and Kudos to Three Units
Home Owners:
As a follow-up to our October 31, 2018 posting, the Board made another inspection today of the entire neighborhood to determine final landscaping compliance numbers. We are happy to report that only 2 of our 70 units ( < 3%) are not in compliance with the Front Yard Policy announced May 3, 2018. One other unit has been granted an emergency extension until February. Two homes with "in compliance" landscaping are currently for sale in the neighborhood.
The Board noticed today that some yards have that have been in compliance for several months have "slipped" somewhat with the cold weather and lack of irrigation. Most of these yards will simply need mulch at some point, and the Board will send a reminder in the spring to those units that are looking shabby. We also noticed that some of the yards have stones that have washed into the road, and simply need to be brushed or shoveled back into the yard to prevent further erosion and to restore the landscaping vigor and attractiveness. If your yard looks shabby, please take a few minutes to put it back in order. Our landscaping company does not include such "tidying up" as part of its contract.
The Board would like to highlight 3 units that exemplify the type of effort that helps to make Davenport Rim a special place to live. The owners of units 36, 37, and 48 have worked hard to create exceptional front landscaping for all of us to enjoy Several other units were also recognized as being above average in their continued landscape efforts and should be proud of their hard work, as is the Board.
So, Congratulations ONCE AGAIN to all the neighbors in Davenport Rim! The Board's Front Yard Policy to upgrade our landscaping in the neighborhood has been a huge success -- thanks to everyone who spent the effort and time to enhance their front yards.
