A PLEA FROM YOUR HOA BOARD FOR THE SAFETY OF PETS AND CHILDREN

With the holidays fast approaching, more of us will be out and about in our neighborhood, whether it be walking dogs, biking or playing. With the holidays also comes more traffic from deliveries etc., this year in particular. Thus it is particularly important to keep an eye on your pets and children. As a reminder, the speed limit is 15 mph in Davenport Rim, and we have recently installed new signs that will hopefully be more visible to visitors to our community (see below).

Neighbors have noticed young children playing with small toys in the road during twilight, which is especially dangerous. There are also dangers in this neighborhood that young people are not aware of, such as the concrete retention reservoirs along Waymaker Way. Again, the Board is asking for everyone’s help to increase safety in our neighborhood.

In the meantime: Parents - The Board has previously suggested that young children play in their backyards or driveways, with an adult present. If you allow them to play in the road, please monitor your children’s whereabouts and activities to keep them safe!

Part of building a strong community is neighbors looking out for one another. This is especially true when it comes to safety. Thank you for being good neighbors! We hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday!

Keep those holidays lights going! The neighborhood is looking beautiful!
