Front yard storm damage clearance deadlines: Reminder

Neighbors - there are still some units whose owners have not cleared out the dead materials from front yards (brown bushes and shrubs, dead cactus, yellow palm fronds, small tree branches on the ground, etc. PLEASE have those removed as soon as possible, since we are well past the deadline the Board set for June 1. We have been hearing from visitors and other neighbors that the community does not look as attractive as it should. In a previous post, we mentioned that the HOA is taking care of the dead trees in front yards. The rest is up to YOU!

Leasers/Renters - please let your owner know if your front yard is still in need of clearance work.

Deadlines:

June 1 – removal of dead plants, shrubs, and trees from unit limited common areas, defined as front yard and side yards up to the unit’s backyard fence/gate

- the cost of this is the owner’s responsibility, as outlined in the Board’s FrontYard Policy (found under "Associations and Fees", then “documents” at 2800waymaker.com)

- backyards are exempt from this deadline, unless dead materials can be seen from the street or from the

inner loop greenbelt

- front yards with soil, mud, or old mulch should be covered with mulch or rocks (not less than 4” in diameter, on average), owner’s choice

October 15 – Board will inspect the regime to determine adherence to the Front Yard Policy, with feedback to owners in compliance

November 1 - Deadline for all yards to return to compliance with Front Yard Policy, with monthly fines being imposed non-compliance

Note: For owners who wish to plant summer annuals or other plants during the early or late summer, check with a local nursery. Remember that we have

limited irrigation, and any new plants/flowers will need extra hand watering (which is allowed by the City) to keep them alive during our hot summer days.
