GRAFFITI IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Neighbors – the HOA Board would like to alert neighbors to be aware of another incident of what we hope will not become a serious problem in the neighborhood.
Over the past week or so, there has been a graffiti incident at our mail hut (see photo – Mail Hut). We are in the process of getting someone to remove it at HOA cost.
No neighborhood of this attractiveness and value wants for this to happen. Two previous incidents that were also problematic for our neighborhood included:
1. graffiti on a tree next to Unit 37 – see photo, Graffiti Unit 37
2. bicycle (or motorbike) riding in a landscaped walking path, causing disruption of stones – see photo, Walking Path
The saying is “It takes a village….” The Board is asking for neighbor/tenant help in preventing such incidents, since cleaning up these problems costs us all money that could be used for better things in our HOA budget.
The Board is asking for owner and tenant cooperation by:
*** Being vigilant while walking through the neighborhood for any signs of vandalism either completed or in progress.
A photo of the problem and/or the person performing the vandalism would be helpful, sent to Pioneer management.
The Board would prefer to prevent such problems rather than placing blame on suspected people (residents or visitors) who might be involved. Defacement of property is a crime, and damage to the neighborhood can affect our HOA liability insurance, budget, and reserves. It also affects our reputation as a safe and attractive community.
As usual, the Board is open to owner input on how to prevent or handle cases such as those listed above.
