Heat Advisory and Lawn Maintenance

From our Yellowstone landscaping company Account Manager:

“Due to the extreme heat we are making some adjustments to our schedules so the crews can have a bit more recovery time on the weekend- we will be on property Thursday this week and I will be with the crew to make sure yards are done.”

She has also indicated to the Board:

The heat is continuing to grow and that along with the lack of rain is really stressing properties.  The ground will shift and pipes will break so let me know if you see any irrigation issues.  I am doing my best to get to every property each week but if you see any problems with flowers, downed tree limbs or items that need attention of course just reach out.   (With the heat and) 1 day a week watering, any additional hand watering of pots or flowers would certainly be helpful to try and keep them alive.

Our crews will be taking more breaks under a tree for safety and we are making some schedule adjustments to give them more recovery time and safer working conditions during this extreme heat.  Depending on how much the turf has grown on a property we may skip a full mow as to keep the heavy mowers off stressed turf …..

All of this means that much of what happens with our landscaping is a partnership among Yellowstone, the Board, and our owners.  Everyone needs to pitch in and help us keep our lawns and trees as healthy as possible with the heat and irrigation restraints.

Please help keep your lawn and plants healthy with hand watering, as much as you can.

Thanks,

DR HOA Board
