New Brightview Landscaping Contract and Opt Out Form
Owners - Did you know that one of the advantages of living in Davenport Rim is that your monthly dues cover regular landscaping maintenance and yard irrigation? This work is performed by Brightview, our landscape contractors.
The Board and Pioneer management recently approved a new Brightview contract for 2020-2021. This contract now includes tree trimming for your front and side yards for twice a year, up from once per year in the past. It includes trimming up to 8 feet for all trees in the front and sides of the unit from the curb up to the gate and fence (not including backyard trees). Note that this is 360 degree trimming of all the trees, not just the road-side limbs of crepe myrtle and lacebark trees that have previously been included in our contract.
Brightview, like most corporate landscaping companies, has emphasized this year that it is not in the “custom” landscaping business and can no longer offer onsite “ala carte” landscaping (e.g.., where owners or tenants request special treatment of their yards by workers when they are working on the yards). This includes, for example, requesting customized trimming of shrubs and greenery, or requesting specific services different from those covered in the contract, such as free mulching.
In the past some owners have preferred to have their yards maintained by individual landscaping contractors so their yards are maintained to their needs. Thus, management has annually sent out notices such as this one, providing options for individualized landscaping. This year, management is providing four different options, as described in the attached Details.
Please read the OPT OUT DETAILS below carefully and respond if necessary by Monday, October 5, 2020. A non-response to this Form will mean you wish to maintain all landscaping services described under DETAILS in the Opt Out Form. These services are included in your monthly HOA dues.
